Amerakin Overdose is a masked industrial/nu-metal band from Portland, Oregon. Their sound blends heavy guitar riffs with groove-oriented beats, synths, and harmonized vocals. Influenced by Korn, Slipknot, and Mudvayne, Amerakin Overdose embodies traditional nu-metal with a modern industrial sound, portrayed through characters that reflect individuals twisted by societal greed and corruption.
Amerakin Overdose has released three full-length albums and toured across the United States, supporting acts such as Korn, Godsmack, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Chevelle, Shinedown, Slaughter to Prevail, Lacuna Coil, Avatar, and All That Remains. The band has also played festivals, including Rock Fest (Cadot, WI), Warped Tour, The Gathering of the Juggalos, and Jamey Jasta's Milwaukee Metalfest. Amerakin Overdose has been featured in Revolver, Alternative Press, Loudwire, Knotfest, and The PRP and has gained recognition for their live performances and visual presence.
We began our journey with Amerakin Overdose through their lead vocalist Cody Perez. Cody reached out to us to work on a graphic for him to use on a t-shirt. We created a custom vector art graphic (see below). Having proved ourselves, we were then commissioned to design a new logo for the band, as well as a graphical mascot, an evil rendition of Uncle Sam, whom they affectionately named "Uncle Scamm".
We then got to work on the design and layout of the art for their latest album "Artificial Infection". Armed with input from Cody and the band, we created an apocalyptic album layout that captured the band and and the overall essence and theme of the album. It was a full gatefold layout with full credits, graphical imagery and of course "Uncle Scamm".
Currently we have a couple of projects on the go with AOD. We also just finished a graphic project for Brick (AOD Drummer) for a brand he is launching.
Amerakin Overdose is such a prolific and fun bunch of guys to work with, that we are waiting with baited breath for the next project to come!
